Over the Rainbow

Why do we have such a fascination with rainbows? Perhaps it’s because they are illusionary objects which cannot be physically approached. Or maybe it’s because they contain the totality of the spectrum of light visible to the human eye. They are elusive, floating at 42 degrees above the horizon when sunlight is refracted through raindrops. A symbol of peace, pride and inclusivity, the rainbow is imprinted in mythology, art and culture. This rainbow was shot in front of the Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe.
