Bliss (Desert Edition)
Orange and blue are complimentary colours, being opposites in the theoretical colour wheel. In practice, they have the highest contrast between their exposures, which means that our brains are able to recognise the difference with the least effort. The result is that orange and blue are a powerful and aesthetically pleasing combination. This photograph is a variation on the theme of Charles O’Rear’s famous work ’Bliss’ (see previous post) and was taken in the Wadi Rum in Jordan in December 2018.
