Primavera (After Bliss)

This is my rather clumsy homage to the world’s most viewed photograph. In 1996, Charles O’Rear stopped his car by a road in Sonoma County, California, got out and took a single Velvia film image of green hill in a blue sky with wispy clouds. Microsoft later bought the image, named it ‘Bliss’ and it became the iconic Windows XP default wallpaper, viewed billions of times. This image was taken in April 2018 in a field in my favourite place in the world: the beautiful Val d’Orcia in Tuscany, Italy.
