The Holy City
Jerusalem is a divided city; the East is predominantly Palestinian, whilst the West is Israeli. The golden light of a winter dawn in the central Old City illuminates two of the holiest sites for the Jewish and Muslim populations: The Western Wall and the Dome of the Rock, respectively. A history of conquest, destruction and rebirth has fused Jerusalem into a multi-faith melting pot. To me, the early morning worshippers, linked by their Abrahamist faiths, have more in common than they may think.
