Lofoten Dreams
The fishing village of Hamnøy, in the remote Lofoten Islands of northern Norway, has a timeless appeal. The distinctive red cabins, known as rorbu, were originally seasonal fishing houses. Nowadays, many are holiday homes and the iconic view is admired from the bridge connecting the islands of the Reinefjord. This photograph was taken at 2am in the peace of an arctic summer twilight, with the village asleep and the pinks and yellows of the dawn bursting out from behind the majestic Festhelltinden peak.
