Reservoir Penguins

In a sheltered bay of inlets just past Simon’s Town in South Africa’s Cape Peninsula live a colony of over 3,000 African Penguins. Also known as ‘jackass penguins’ for their donkey-like bray, these diminutive birds have a comical waddling gait. In November 2013, the African Penguin was listed as endangered on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species, though the colony at Boulders’ Beach is in rude health. To me, this gang is reminiscent of the famous image of Tarantino's Reservoir Dogs.
